By connecting your MIDI keyboard, the app provides instant, real-time feedback on your playing. This interactive experience helps you quickly identify mistakes and learn pieces more effectively. My goal is to make your piano practice sessions more engaging and productive.

About me
My name is Frank De Baere, I live in Flanders - Belgium My world revolves around two great passions: music and software. As a musician from Flanders, I know how rewarding it is to play an instrument, but as a developer, I also saw the frustrations that the practice process can bring.
I was tired of second-guessing myself every day: "What should I practice today? For how long? Am I even doing it efficiently?" That uncertainty was the spark for my first project. Modus Practica is my answer to that question. It's the smart assistant that takes over your planning. Now, I launch the app and immediately see my ideal, scientifically-backed practice schedule for the day. No more guesswork, just focused progress.
While learning new, complex pieces, I ran into another problem: ingraining mistakes. That’s why I first built the Interactive Piano Tutor, a study buddy that gives me direct feedback so I can see right away if I’m playing the right notes. This way, the music gets into my fingers correctly from the very first attempt.
Since then, I’ve also created LumiNote, a more sophisticated app. In this version, you see the score as it really looks on paper. It’s not perfect yet, but I keep improving it—and it’s completely free to use.
With Partura Music, I’m sharing the solutions that have transformed my own musical journey. I hope they also help you practice with more confidence and joy.
